About Us

As three passionate, holistic minded individuals with professional training along the health care spectrum, we believe healing takes place on a deep level with an integrative approach. Our intention for this blog is to create an inviting community for health professionals and the public to share their professional and personal experience and knowledge.  In doing so, we hope to create a safe space for healing and learning together.




Dr. Nancy Zou is a clinical pharmacist, a certified holistic health counselor and a self-described food aficionado. She works with patients and physicians to optimize the best medication regimen for people who are struggling with various types of health conditions. Nancy uses her medical and nutritional expertise to help people to successfully manage their illness, while minimizing their medications. Her focus is to teach individuals to live a healthier, more fulfilling lives through an integrative health approach. Nancy has a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Michigan and completed her residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York. She also received her Holistic Health Counseling training from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.



Deepa Sannidhi MD  is a Family Physician and currently completing a Preventive Medicine residency at University of California, San Diego. Her background includes a Bachelors degree in Nutritional Science from Rutgers University and a certificate in Holistic Health Counseling from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. In addition, she is trained as an Ayurvedic Health Coach at the Dinacharya institute in New York City. Her interests include using food as medicine, whole food nutrition, weight loss, Ayurveda, cooking, body image, behavior change, and primary care advocacy.



Surbhee is completing a Masters in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, and will be graduating in December 2012. She holds a BA in Psychology and Religion from Rutgers University. Surbhee has extensive experience working with children and youth and currently interns as an elementary school counselor infusing art therapy in her work with kids. Her areas of interest within the field lend to cross-cultural counseling, Jungian psychology, family systems theory, and the use of creative arts in the healing process. Along with her background in Psychology, Surbhee has studied yoga therapy at the Krishnamacarya Yoga Mandirim in India.
